Chapter 2 Li Wei hates rude people
Chapter 2 Li Wei hates rude people
"The money belongs to the bank, but your life is your own. Don't fight against your own fate!"
"The bank offers insurance, and the insurance will cover any losses. You won't lose your money!"
"As long as everyone cooperates, I won't hurt anyone! I'll leave in three minutes! Don't put up any futile resistance!"
Li Wei sat in the bank's lobby, holding the bank's "Super Value Medical Loan with 18% Interest" brochure, and pretended to look at it for a long time before finally coming up with his opening remarks.
However, he decided to wait a little longer.
There was an elderly man walking unsteadily and a pregnant woman with a large belly conducting business at the bank.
It would be extremely impolite to cause an elderly person to fall or a pregnant woman to miscarry because of your actions.
Unfortunately, not everyone is as polite as Li Wei.
"The money belongs to the bank, but your life is your own. Don't fight against your own fate!"
"The bank offers insurance, and the insurance will cover any losses. You won't lose your money!"
"As long as everyone cooperates, we won't hurt anyone! We'll leave in three minutes! Don't put up any futile resistance!"
Three people, dressed in suits and ties, with hoods covering their faces.
An assault rifle is positioned in front to deal with enemy attacks from the front. A shotgun and a submachine gun are positioned on either side at the rear to protect the flanks.
Standard tactical assault formation.
"Da da da!"
The guy wielding a submachine gun fired a short shot directly at the ceiling as a deterrent.
The 67-year-old security guard who was smoking by the bank's trash can, just like the boss said, immediately lay down on the ground, covered his head with his hands, and looked quite skilled at it.
The elderly man, startled, lost his grip on his cane and fell with a sharp crack. He lay on the ground groaning, clearly having broken a bone.
The pregnant woman awkwardly and clumsily lay down, but seemingly afraid of pressing on the baby in her belly, her two slender arms trembled as she supported her body, like an obese patient trying to hold a plank.
The bank employee behind the bulletproof glass calmly pressed the alarm and took out foundation to touch up her makeup, seemingly planning to look her best when she appeared on TV later.
"Snapped!"
The robber, armed with an assault rifle, raised his gun and fired a shot at the bulletproof glass. The entire bulletproof glass shattered into countless pieces, just like a cookie that a fat man had sat on, and fell to the ground with a clatter.
The bank employee was stunned.
"The 7.62mm concussion steel-core bullet was originally designed to counter the crude bulletproof equipment of guerrillas at extremely low cost, understand?"
The assault rifle-wielding robber's voice was calm and professional.
Instead of screaming, the bank clerk quickly placed bundles of banknotes, stacked one by one, on the counter.
She moved incredibly fast, as if she were one of the robbers herself.
"Great, keep this up, we'll be leaving in two minutes and forty-eight seconds."
After the assault rifle-wielding robber emphasized it again, he began to give direct orders.
"Number Three, go and fill up the money. One minute and forty-seven seconds. Fill up as much as you can."
However, the assault rifle robbers did not see Number Three run over and start stuffing money into an unmarked cloth bag, as he had done in training.
"Number 3, you have one minute and forty-five seconds left. Don't make me lose patience."
However, his patience was clearly not as good as he had expected.
The next second, he turned his gun around and looked back.
Then he saw Number Two and Number Three lying on the ground with their necks twisted.
At the same time, an ugly and cheap C9 was aimed at his head at extremely close range.
"Hey buddy! Sorry! We didn't know we were being watched!"
The assault rifle robber readily released his grip on the assault rifle and raised his hands above his head.
Only then did he realize that the gunman was a tall Asian man.
The fact that the opponent could take down both of them silently in just over twenty seconds shows that they are undoubtedly a master.
So he decided to try negotiating to lower the other party's guard, and then find an opportunity to give him a hard blow.
However, before he could speak, the other party gave him a response first.
"Bang!"
With a gunshot, a standard 9mm bullet pierced through the forehead and bounced off a metal chair with a "clang!" sound, creating a "duet".
As it turns out, the ordinary bullets fired from a $130 gun and the special bullets fired from a military assault rifle are equally deadly once they penetrate a person's brain.
"In the past, I wouldn't mind you cutting in line, but now I absolutely hate this kind of thing that wastes my time and life. And you're being incredibly rude, which I find especially offensive."
Li Wei's shot did not bring fear, but rather cheers.
"Oh my god! He's like a superhero! If he asks me out, I'll sleep with him tonight!"
The bank employees finally started screaming.
"Hey! Young man! Could you please call an ambulance? I think I've hurt my back!"
The bank security guard lay on the ground and made his demands.
The elderly man who had fallen shakily pulled out his phone, preparing to call an ambulance for himself.
The pregnant woman finally reached her limit, but she still stubbornly lay down on her side and then sat on the ground.
Li Wei was speechless. He silently pulled a cloth bag from the shotgun-wielding robber and went to the bank clerk whose cheeks were flushed.
"Please fill it up, just like you did before."
Everyone present, except for Li Wei, was stunned.
Li Wei was silent for a moment, then suddenly realized.
"Did I forget to mention that? Okay, let's start again."
He cleared his throat, raised his gun, and prepared to fire a shot at the ceiling.
However, after glancing at the few people inside the bank who had once again put on expressions of terror, he felt that he had already achieved his goal and that firing again would be very impolite.
So he didn't fire the gun in the end, but instead started delivering his carefully prepared opening remarks.
Finally, satisfied, Li Wei delivered the "line" he had prepared long ago and gently tapped the counter.
"Alright, let's start loading the money now."
After the bank employee realized what was happening, she ignored the shards of glass on the counter and started pushing piles of banknotes into a cloth bag, even though her hands were cut.
The bank security guard obediently lay back down, thus saving his head once again.
The old man's lips trembled slightly. He silently hung up the phone after hearing the voice of "911, what is your emergency?" and carefully placed the phone on the ground, pushing it to Li Wei's feet.
The pregnant woman then began to attempt the plank exercise again, albeit with difficulty.
Li Wei bent down to pick up his phone and dialed 911 again.
"Hello, this is 911. How can I help you?"
The operator on the other end of the line was different, and this operator was polite and enthusiastic.
Li Wei was very satisfied.
"This is the bank across from St. Mary's Hospital. An elderly person has broken a bone, and a pregnant woman is in danger of miscarriage due to the shock. In addition, the bank security guard seems to have strained his back, and a bank employee cut his hand on a shard of bulletproof glass. Please send an ambulance as soon as possible."
There was a few seconds of silence on the other end; they seemed stunned.
However, the operator quickly realized what was happening.
"Could you describe the specific situation? Besides an ambulance, should we contact any other organizations?"
"Three robbers armed with military-grade weapons attempted to rob the bank. I have shot one dead and killed the other two with my bare hands, but I'm not sure if there are any backup personnel. The hostages are safe for now, and the bank staff have activated the alarm, but I don't know exactly how long it will take for the police to arrive. If possible, please send the fire trucks as well, because if a shootout breaks out later, I'm not sure if something will explode."
The silence on the other end lasted even longer this time, and by the time the other party responded, it had become a different person.
"Are you a law enforcement officer? Please provide your identification information so I can verify it."
To avoid having to undergo multiple verification processes due to his lying, which would delay the ambulance's arrival, Li Wei decided to truthfully state his name and resume.
"My name is Li Wei, a Chinese American, a military training instructor at Wesker Advanced Security, a former Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant Major, I have served in peacekeeping forces, killed 47 terrorists, rescued 433 hostages, and received the Medal of Honor. If my file is inaccessible, you can call my company; the contact information is public."
This time, the other party responded exceptionally readily.
"Yes, sir, is there anything else you'd like to add?"
"I've now taken control of the scene and am maintaining order as the robber. That concludes my report. I should return the phone to its rightful owner."
Li Wei didn't wait for a reply, hung up the phone, returned the phone to the elderly man who had fallen, and said something very politely.
"Thanks."
As soon as Li Wei finished speaking, police sirens sounded outside the bank.
