Chapter 443: An Unpleasant Encounter
Chapter 443: An Unpleasant Encounter
Coming out of the manager’s office, the moment the door opened, Thea Shaw could feel all eyes in the office turning towards her in unison.
No manager was in sight, only Thea emerged alone, and everyone quickly averted their gaze.
Everyone was intensely curious.
It’s known that if the manager gets too angry and raises their voice, they could still vaguely hear some noise from outside.
But it was very quiet inside, which aroused their curiosity.
Such a big incident happened, how would the manager scold Thea Shaw?
Clearly, the reality was disappointing to them.
Especially Hailey King, who looked at Thea with disbelief as she swaggered out.
Aurora Sutton saw Thea come out and asked in a low voice, "Are you okay?"
Thea shook her hand, "What could possibly be wrong?"
Rowan Donovan also came over, unable to believe it, "The manager didn’t say anything to you? That Miss Sherman is an important client for our department."
Thea replied with a playful smile, "Miss Sherman didn’t give me any trouble, why should the manager?"
Rowan: "..."
It’s logical, but there’s something strange about this matter.
For instance, June Sherman left directly and straightforwardly, not even causing a scene, not even escalating it.
In another company, causing a ruckus like hitting a client could’ve already reached the police.
The key point is, June Sherman was really not bothered?
Rowan instinctively felt something was off.
If Rowan could sense something off, then Thea Shaw and Aurora Sutton certainly could too.
Aurora Sutton had seen June Sherman, but in the short time, she didn’t have much of an impression, just a feeling something wasn’t right: "It’s impossible she’d let it go so easily, right? Since she’s deliberately targeting you while claiming illness, how can this just end here?"
Indeed, in Aurora Sutton’s eyes, June Sherman was just a nutcase deliberately targeting a ’little fairy.’
"You’ve already said she’s sick," Thea said with a cheeky grin, "How could we know what a lunatic thinks?"
"True."
Aurora Sutton now began to worry about Thea Shaw: "I just went to check out her background. Her father is the CEO of a group company, which is the one that cooperates with our management department. Her mother used to be a famous singer in China who retired after marrying her father, and beyond that, there’s nothing particularly odd."
However, the peculiarity lies in the fact that June Sherman’s family situation appears ’ordinary.’
Indeed, although her father is a group company CEO and her mother a renowned singer, their family is considered wealthy by ordinary standards, but there’s a gap between them and those heirs. June’s carefree style, readily attacking Thea, shows her arrogance and fearlessness of consequences.
She didn’t consider ordinary company employees as people, and doing such things outside shows this isn’t her first time.
Thea thought of that family she met before, apart from Nancy Shea, from the father to the daughter, they were all tough.
The status of a public company group CEO wasn’t enough for such audacity; there’s probably some unspeakable business or assets behind the scenes.
That’s good news.
Thea had previously thought of ways to approach Nancy, but unfortunately, their interactions were too superficial and not close enough. Now June Sherman presented an opportunity.
Thea was not one to help others out of sheer kindness; those two father and daughter weren’t good people. With an opportunity delivered right to her, she certainly had to take action.
Thea took out her phone and sent Nancy Shea a message: [Hello Ms. Shea, it seems there’s an unfortunate interaction between your daughter and me.]
